Candid Camera!

It is a “hot-button” issue in recent days as some unfortunate situations have brought it to the forefront for discussion; that is, the wearing of “body cameras” by law enforcement officers and others who deal with the public in such roles.  My intent here is not to discuss the issue or render an opinion, but to ask some other questions that have been birthed in my “preacher-head.”

What if your daily actions and interactions were recorded?  What if that video was played for your peers, or your church family as you gathered on Sunday?  And yes, I have asked this of myself!   I did not like the thought of my actions or words being recorded and played.  You know, it’s that “do as I preach, not as I do” mentality.  No, that does NOT work very well; and I covet your prayers that “my recording” will honor Christ.

As believers, Christ-followers, we are accountable to One who is far more important than our peers; yet, we are responsible for our example before others because of our personal relationship with Christ!  Do we take that role seriously?  Do we consider the example of Christ we show to others when we speak or act?

Maybe the words of the little preschool song should be our theme song.

Be careful little eyes what you see, be careful little ears what you hear, be careful little feet where you go, be careful little tongue what you say, be careful little hands what you do…for the Father up above is looking down in love; so be careful “little child” what you do.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download

For the Father up above is looking down…and all your world (literally) is watching…you!

NO, the Father is not trying to catch you doing something wrong.  He is, however, always there and desirous to help you with your example before others because you represent His Son, Jesus Christ.  YES, when you do fail, He is a forgiving Father who loves you and sees the potential you have as His child to influence others to know Jesus.  He wants you to present the very best picture of His Son.  So, smile, you ARE being recorded!

Blessings to all,

Pastor Bob
